Dr. Finger is on the faculties of Civil & Environmental Engineering and Architecture. She is also affiliated with the Robotics Institute, and the Department of Mechanical Engineering and is the head of the Engineering Design Research Lab in the Institute for Complex Engineered Systems. She is the co-editor in chief of the journal Research in Engineering Design. Her research interests include representation languages for design, integration of design and manufacturing concerns, computer-supported cooperative learning.
