Originally from Egypt, where he is assistant lecturer at Ain Shams University, Faculty of Engineering, Dept. of Architecture, where he got his BSc in 2000, and awarded MSc in Architecture in 2004 in the field of computer applications in architecture; thesis entitled "Towards a Conceptual Framework for Implementing Intelligent Mixed Reality in Architectural Education".


As of 2006 September, Sherif is a PhD student at Georgia Tech.
