Knowledgeable designers are able to read and write diagrams to represent logic sequences. But kids and other novice designers have not learned how to create these sequences. DiliBlocks give kids a way of exploring this area without needing to first understand concepts that (depending on the kid's age) might be out of reach.
The immediate goal of the DiliBlocks project is to create a series of tangible objects that can be used to explore basic digital logic systems by letting users see how different digital logic constructions and input settings affect outputs.
