Paper Robots

Paper Robots

(computational construction kits and craft)

Paper robots are small paper co-designed interactive devices. Paper Robots use SMA wire for actuation, gold leaf printed circuits and embedded microchips for intelligence and paper outer shells for form and structure. This project explores an ongoing interest in designers using new technologies, materials and information channels to create systems instead of designs and designs that are a dialogue between the user and the designer with computer program as mediation.
