Visual thinking and spatial reasoning skills are important in creative discovery, and ordinary problem solving. This course offers a series of 2D and 3D exercises include diagramming and sketching as well as computational drawing media, physical as well as computer graphics based three dimensional modeling, and puzzle solving to enhance the ability to visualize and reason spatially.

Whether you choose to major in engineering, mathematics, science, arts or design, visual thinking abilities can help you communicate complex concepts and solve problems. This seminar will explore a series of 2D and 3D exercises such as diagramming and sketching, puzzle solving, and model making (both physical and digital) to explore the roles of visual reasoning and spatial cognition in multiple disciplines and daily life.
