We designed a chair based on the Hoberman sphere to illustrate the growth of the size and the shape of the chair. The mechanic scissor action that makes the chair adjustable mimics the structure of the embracing Hoberman sphere. The chair was used in conjuntion with Greg's fingerpainting project. It needed a place for people to sit and be able to adjust their height so that their faces could be aimed at the camera. The chair is the first step into a look at how Hoberman's links and arms can be applied to other applications. The cahir can change its height by 7 inches.
