BOOF

BOOF

(booth designs)

The drawings as submitted tuesday, 3/22. As indicated, the front and back wall cladding is a mix of osb/plywood for lateral loads and clear plastic for coolness. The side walls play a less significant role in the booth's structure, and can be opaque or translucent depending on the needs of the projects inside. Both side walls and the blob on the ceiling are also great opportunities to showcase lit or projected projects since the walls transmit light. People will be waiting in line along the south wall, and the north wall is visible to the main tent. Projects involving furniture should think about occupying the front of the booth, along the east wall. Lighting issues arise we can address these in a number of ways, but the traffic flow is broken up on purpose so just remember that people need to walk through this thing. If you need to physically attach something to the booth's structural members (like suspend a light or projector from the ceiling), PLEASE let us know early on because there is a double membrane skin and the integrity of the moisture barrier could be compromised if someone just comes in a starts drilling.
