This page would look a lot spiffier if you downloaded a standards compliant web browser.
This prototype demonstrates an environment’s possible responsiveness to real time dynamic data feed by tracking the GroGLite “wearables” worn by the booth2020 inhabiters and then outputting the corresponding light trails in a dynamic art space.
28 March Update:
We have capability of full-screen display, and changing light levels should be unproblematic. We have been in contact with Smoothware and waiting to see if software purchase is necessary. With this software, the tracking will be more reliable and will not require the use of a mouse to extract the tracked color. We need this software as soon as possible, to determine what we are artistically capable of for the final version.
We can display any size and on any wall. Our preferred placement is a screen or wall of translucent material on the side that faces the midway. Ideally, people will be able to see the projection from the outside. This will benefit us aesthetically, while attracting more people.
The next step is integrating music with the design itself. We can work with our current director file, but again, the TTCPro software is required to finalize what will be displayed in the booth. We will press the company as far as possible, but the software costs $250. The demo is buggy, and designed to only run for a few minutes.
