I first took a flower shape and then joined the curves together putting tension into the shape. I am still having trouble moving from the small strathmore model to the largescale cardboard seat.
The idea of the unfamiliar shape is that people are versitile enough to use unfamiliar objects, but their exact behavior will change, sort of a physical effect on society.
The next iteration will have straps which will allow you to bend it yourself from flat to curved. This way, you can take you're wallpaper, or you're rug and sit on it.
