Skills:

My skills: Very good with computers. Proficient in Java, .NET, PHP,
HTML. Good knowledge of databases, information systems, computer networks.
Experience in project management, quality assurance, project planning.

Some practical stuff that I know pretty well: Flash, Director, Photoshop,
Premiere & sound editing programs. 3D Studio Max, Autodesk Inventor. I've
done a substantial bit of user interface design and a small amount of 3D
modeling (no character modeling).

I'm good with my hands: carpentry (I used to do tech. theatre) and
woodworking (I build my own electric guitar body from scratch). Some
experience with mechanical engineering (I build an intelligent light [moves
around, changes color & pattern, programmable by a computer] from scratch)
including soldering & basic circuitry. I learned to weld (arc, not
acetylene) in high school and I can do basic household wiring, plumbing,
demolition and construction (it helps that I watch a lot of HGTV).

I've dabbled with home automation and wrote software that allows my cell
phone to control lights and appliances in my apartment. I also added a
webcam that can deliver still images to my cell phone.

I've got a particular interest in gadgets and I've attended the consumer
electronics show in Las Vegas for the last 4 years. I'm particularly
interested in mobile electronics (cell phones, nav systems), home automation
and home theatre.

I also enjoy cooking, grilling, barbeque and pastry-making. I can sew (only
by hand, not with a machine) and this year I carved an awesome pumpkin. I'm
also a good skier and I used to be a dancer (relevance?).
