Physical Computing Resources

This section is still being rebuilt.
The old resources section can still be viewed here

Microcontrollers: A microcontroller is a computer. It has a CPU, memory, is programmable,
and has some means of input and output. They are often embedded into devices or objects and are
typically dedicated to a specific task.           *Microcontrollers*    *Programming*    *Resources*

Input - Sensors: Sensors are devices that are used to measure physical quantities such as light,
temperature, and moisture.           *Input - Sensors*    *Examples*    *Resources*

Output - Actuators: Actuators are devices that are responsible for activating mechanical movement.
In this section we focus both on actuators and other devices that are seen as a
means of output such as LED's           *Output - Actuators*    *Examples*    *Resources*

Electronics: Many Physical Computing projects rely on the construction of simple circuits.
This section looks at DC theory and provides examples from previous projects.
          *Introduction*    *Example Circuits*    *Resources*

Robotics: Robotics focuses on the design and construction of robotic (mechanical)
devices that are capable of performing a variety of tasks.
Resources used in robotics are often applicable to physical computing.
          *Examples*    *Resources*

Miscellaneous: This section is focused on a wide range of resources that may be of interest
to students in Physical Computing.
          *Related Courses*    *Annotated Bibliography*    *Resources*
